Timeless Tips for Wedding Day Make Up…

Wedding. Beautiful bride with bouquet

If you want to look like this on your wedding day….

 Make-up. Eyebrow Makeup. Eyes

Then, you need to start like this weeks before your wedding day!

Wedding day makeup doesn’t start on the day of your wedding. If you want glowing, gorgeous skin you need to be diligent about your skin care routine months in advance.  Getting regular facials makes a big difference in your skin’s texture. The best base for makeup is skin that is well exfoliated. It’s a good time to invest in a sonic facial cleanser, if you haven’t already. You’ll want bright white teeth too. In the weeks leading up to your big day, use teeth whitening strips and say no to staining drinks like coffee, dark teas and red wine.

Your wedding day is not the time to experiment with a new makeup look. That’s what your makeup consultation is for – trying new looks and finding the one that you just love. I have two important recommendations –  primer and more. By primer, I mean use a face and eye shadow primer. It will really prevent your makeup from melting down. It’s going to be a long, emotion-filled day. My second tip is more. By more, I mean apply more makeup then what you normally wear. The camera has a funny way of not always capturing you as you look in person and as your day wears on you want to continue to look fresh and radiant.

My last tip is that you should give your maid of honor a small makeup bag with a few essentials to keep you fresh.  Your bridal bag essentials – oil blotting sheets, eyelash curler, translucent powder, Q-tips and blush. You could put your lipstick or your lip gloss in there too, but since you’ll probably be on the arm of your new husband, you could ask him to carry it in his pocket for you.
